Welcome to Free Write Friday. New here? Read the intro. Everyone else…let’s go!
This week’s FWF prompt is a word bank:
blanket – falsetto – cumbersome – cinema – coins
You may use one or all of the words. Don’t force it. If only one speaks to you, that is your muse. Go with it. If you can use all of them with little effort (no overthinking it) then let it flow. I look forward to reading you.
Things to remember:
Post your entry on your blog.

interesting challenge!
Maybe you will partake sometime? 🙂
A little bit late this week but I wanted to give it a go anyway 🙂

http://wp.me/pGpXE-1xl will take you to my “late as usual” word bank piece. Only used one word — it is there, it just takes a long time to get to it.
Great combo !

I love these word bank prompts, Kellie. Here is my contribution – I struggled with the flow but decided to share it anyway http://fiveminutesadaywriting.wordpress.com/2013/08/03/cinema-memories/
Not sure what has gotten into me with this word bank, but it has spawned micro-poetry for each word > http://markschutter.com/2013/08/03/micro-poetry-word-bank-fwf/ Enjoy!
A little whimsical this week > http://markschutter.com/2013/08/03/a-single-golden-coin/ Thanks Kellie!
Micro-poetry from the word bank also > http://markschutter.com/2013/08/03/micro-poetry-word-bank-fwf/

Um, oops. It’s a rant. I mean, “freewrite.” http://xxculture.wordpress.com/2013/08/02/fwf-8-2-flicks/
Sorry I am late, Kellie. All day in the ER cut into writing time. Great prompt with really challenging words…I just had to use them all! http://catnipoflife.wordpress.com/2013/08/03/fwf-free-write-friday-27-word-bank/
Hi everyone, new to this and have posted my first prompt. My link is http://soborowsky.wordpress.com/category/writing-2/
I wanted to pop in tonight as I have been making my rounds and reading your replies to the prompt. I have to tell you guys that I am just in awe at your talent. Each week you get better and better in every aspect. I feel like I may have to come up with something a bit harder for you 🙂
I wanted to also say that I noticed that there are some who have little to no comments on their posts. I know you will do it in your time, but please make sure to just drop a line to your fellow “FWFians” as Rishal liked to call us (or writing bandits as I say).
Just simply return the favor. If someone reads you and comments, do the same for them. Easy peasy mac and cheesy 🙂
Thanks everyone. Enjoy your weekend and I will be checking back periodically to see if we have any more new writes. 🙂 You can also stay up to date on new replies by subscribing to the comments of this post. 🙂
Big hugs and smooches xoxoxox
Kellie
This is something I like to do Kellie as it is always interesting to see what others come up with. We all read the same prompt and yet come up with such different responses. I love it 🙂
It’s amazing how many different ideas are born from it.
And such good ones too.
A small experiment with prompts, something to challenge the time writing loans me in the realm of the free.

Thanks for the prompt idea.
I wrote this poem, containing ‘blanket’ and ‘coin’ today. Great prompt, Kellie and happy weekend! http://poeticparfait.com/2013/08/02/poem-introspection-and-suffocation/

Nostalgia seemed the only way to go, Kellie. Once again, I tell a story maybe only an old guy could. (Pssst. second piece of the day, too.)

Hi Kellie

Hey fellow FWFians, here’s my take on this week’s prompt. What a random choice of words Kellie. Quite delightful! Luckily I managed to fit all the words in my poem.

Kellie … I love these word banks! … Please enjoy this ever-so-brief “Night at the Opera” http://dorothychiotti.com/2013/08/02/fwf-free-write-friday-word-bank-a-night-at-the-opera/ … Cheerz! Dorothy 🙂
What an interesting choice of words in the bank! I was only able to use two of them, but I had fun writing this 🙂 Thanks for the prompt! I look forward to next week’s.
