from angels bending near the earth
to touch a heart of stone
a fleeting revelation that
hope rebuilds a home

and melt did they
those hardened walls
from round a thirsty well
once more a beat
though weak
did weep
as sorrowful anthems fell

in puddles, standing now
no care
for the water has baptized
the fear
and salted lips with grace
do speak
no more of night,
nor tear
