Welcome to Free Write Friday! My name is Mark and I am honored this week to be guest hosting #FWF. As a regular contributor to #FWF Kellie has graciously allowed me to step in while she deals with the poignant enormity of life experience.
New here? Read the intro. Everyone else, let’s get started.
Here is your prompt – let’s see what magic the autumn Hunters or Blood Moon conjures up!
VegaStar Carpentier captured this image of a Hunter’s Moon from Paris, France on Oct. 30, 2012 using a Canon EOS 1000D. October’s Full Moon is called the “Hunter’s Moon” or “Blood Moon”. It is the first Full Moon after the Harvest Moon (the Full Moon nearest the Autumnal equinox) and it gets its name from hunters who tracked and killed their prey by autumn moonlight, stockpiling food for the winter ahead and marked hunting season in North America.

Off to create 🙂 -well done Mark for guest hosting.
Thanks for the prompt, Mark, incredible shot of such a moon. Being Spring here, I associated it in a way with a seed moon too, though not directly as I had been wondering sort of ending to use for a short story. Thanks again!

I’m on my way to Nashville as I write this and I wanted to check in and see how everyone was doing. I am both surprised and thrilled at the response to Mark’s prompt. Thanks so much to everyone for keeping fwf alive in my absence and again to Mark for so graciously taking on the role of M.C. for me while I’m away. I am truly pleased to be a part of this community we have created each Friday.
Big hugs and much love to you all.

Thanks Mark for filling in. I think I’ll edit it at some point soon, to include a link to your blog if that’s okay. Here is my contribution. I have a feeling I plagiarized something but can’t remember what.
